Are you looking to ship a car from Montana to Florida? You’ve come to the right place! We have established strong relationships with car carriers that run this route, and similar routes (i.e. WA to FL and ID to FL), on a regular basis throughout the year.
As you can probably guess, the ease at which we can complete these transports varies depending on the time of year. Auto transports from Montana are easier to do in the spring, summer, and fall than they are during the harsh winter months. What that means is it may take a day or two longer to find a carrier to run this route in the middle of winter. Car carriers just don’t like to deal with the cold, snow, and wind that are so common during Montana winters. Who can blame them! Still, though, we have always been able to secure a car carrier for this route no matter what time of the year. You just have to be prepared that it may take an additional day or two for us to secure a carrier in the winter.

These are states he may or may not be stopping to pick up or deliver other vehicles. Shipping cars in and out of Montana is challenging for a couple reasons. First, take a look at the landscape of the state. The east side of the state is comprised of the Great Plains with sparsely populated towns and cities. Heading west from the Great Plains you run into the Rocky Mountains, and then you have the Cabinet Mountains and the Bitterroot Range in the west. Second, consider Montana’s weather. It has some of the harshest and longest winters in the country. You combine Montana’s challenging landscape and its weather, and you can understand why shipping cars to and from the state isn’t exactly a walk in the park.
The best car shipping locations in Montana are along the I-90 corridor from Billings to Bozeman, but most of the other cities along I-90, even up to Missoula aren't bad.
Other solid car shipping locations include those along I-15 from Helena down to the I-15 and I-90 junction.
Finally, those locations along I-94 from Billings to the North Dakota border are decent car shipping locations. This is a 250-mile trucking corridor that is heavily traveled by car carriers so locations along it such as Miles City and Glendive are all good locations to ship cars to or from.
The challenging car shipping locations in Montana are those locations 50 miles or more north or south of I-90 and I-94. The further away you get from those interstates, the more challenging the car shipments will be, meaning they will cost more money and will take more time to complete.
Other challenging car shipping locations in the state include those locations north of Helena and south of Dillon on I-15.
We are strategically based in Billings, MT. The two major trucking corridors in the state join and divide here, I-90 and I-94, so it is an ideal hub for car shipments to and from Montana. For the convenience of our customers, we provide free secured terminal shipping in Billings for pick ups and drop offs if needed.

We do a lot of transports to and from Florida, particularly snowbird transports between Florida and New York (and New York to Florida). There are five areas of Florida that we primarily ship to and from. Those areas include northeast Florida, central Florida, southeast Florida, southwest Florida, and the panhandle. The sixth area that we do transports for, but not nearly as often, is the Florida Keys.
The most popular shipping hub for auto transports in and out of Florida is Miami in southeast Florida. Other popular cities in the area include West Palm Beach, Boca Raton, and Fort Lauderdale. Any transports to or from southeast Florida, particularly Miami, we can get done pretty quickly, but of course these cities are further south in Florida so these transports will be more expensive than cities located in the northern parts of the state.
Speaking of the northern part of the state, Jacksonville in the northeast section of the state is a great car shipping location! In fact, it's one of the better car shipping locations in Florida.
The major cities in central Florida such as Orlando, Daytona Beach, Ocala, Tampa, Clearwater, St. Petersburg, and Lakeland are all great car shipping locations.
In the southwest Florida, the cities of Fort Myers, Cape Coral, and Naples are all solid car shipping locations as well. Again, keep in mind that the further south you go down into Florida, the more your transport will be so Naples will be more expensive than Tampa, for example.
Heading back up north to the panhandle, Tallahassee is the best car shipping location in the panhandle, but the rest of the cities along the panhandle are hit or miss depending on the shipping location on the other side of the transport. Car carriers shy away from the panhandle unless they are shipping to or from the cities in the panhandle, such as Panama City and Pensacola, to or from cities along I-10 in the southern part of the country. I-10 is a busy cross-country trucking corridor that runs through the panhandle and through Alabama, Mississippi, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and California. Otherwise if you are shipping to or from the panhandle cities to or from the northwest, north, or northeast, these transports can be challenging at times (can take more time and more money to complete).
The most challenging area to ship to or from Florida is the Florida Keys. While we can certainly do these transports, we rarely do them as so few people are going to or from the Keys with their vehicles. Shipping to or from any of the cities along the Keys (Key Largo, Marathon, Key West) will be your most expensive transport options in Florida. You can save a lot of money shipping to or from the Keys by meeting a carrier in Miami instead!
One other interesting note about carriers that do Florida auto transports, they rarely serve both coasts of Florida with the same truck load. A carrier will either do all his transports along either the west or east coast on one trip, and then the other coast on another trip. He will rarely pick up and deliver vehicles on both coasts on the same trip. That means if your vehicle is being picked up or delivered in Miami, for example, that carrier will be traveling along the east coast of Florida with his current load of vehicles.
As a door-to-door auto transporter, we can ship to and from any location in Florida. It doesn’t matter if you’re shipping to or from Key Largo or Jacksonville or anywhere in between, we can handle it!
