The population of Oregon is mostly concentrated in western Oregon in the Willamette Valley, which stretches along I-5 from Eugene in the south up through Salem and into Portland in the north. Those are your best cities to ship cars to and from in Oregon. Grants Pass and Medford located in southwestern Oregon on I-5 are great car shipping locations as well. Carriers are constantly going up and down I-5 so anything along that interstate is going to make for a relatively easy and painless auto transport relative to any other location in the state.
Redmond and Bend, located almost in the center of Oregon, are very popular car shipping locations but transports there are actually very difficult (i.e. usually requires more money and more time to complete the transport). It’s a difficult area because it’s surrounded by forests, is along a mountain range, and isn’t directly connected to any interstates.
Another challenging car shipping area in Oregon is anywhere along the Pacific coast, along Highway 101. Any auto transport to or from this area will usually require the most money and the most time to complete. If you look at a map closely, you’ll understand why. Everything along Highway 101 is completely isolated from the rest of the state of Oregon. There is nothing but forests in between Highway 101 and I-5, and there are few roads connecting Highway 101 to I-5. Carriers are not serving anything along Highway 101 on a regular basis so those transports always require carriers to go out of their way just to complete a single transport.

The demand for Georgia auto transports is rapidly increasing as more and more people are moving to the state. In fact, all of our southeast auto transports are rapidly increasing with so many people moving to states such as Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Florida. Like every state we ship cars to and from in the Southeast, some locations are better than others. Let’s take a look at the best car shipping locations in Georgia first.
The absolute best car shipping location should be obvious when you look at the map. It’s Atlanta! As the largest city in the state and located along a handful of key trucking corridors (I-75, I-85, and I-20), it is the ideal location to ship cars to and from. Car carriers are regularly traveling to or from Atlanta, GA so if this is your shipping origin or destination you’ll be in great shape.
Another decent car shipping location in Georgia is Augusta. It’s the state’s second most populated area and is located along I-20. Other locations that are o.k. to ship to and from are Athens and Savannah. Both cities are decent sized cities and are along or near busy interstates making them good locations for car carriers to get to and from. Athens is sandwiched in between I-85 and I-20, and Savannah has I-95 and I-16 running through it.
Now let’s look at the challenging areas to ship cars to or from in Georgia. These are areas that might take a bit longer to get a transport completed and will likely cost more money as well. Southwest Georgia is the toughest. There is nothing south of it except the Florida panhandle, and as far as Florida auto transports go, the panhandle is the least popular. What all of this means is, car carriers are not travelling through this area of Georgia on a regular basis. It’s sort of a dead zone in the state of Georgia as far as car shippers are concerned.
Another dead zone in the state is the heart of southeast Georgia. This is the area that is roughly 100 miles west of I-95, 100 miles east of I-75, and roughly 50 miles or so south of I-16. Cities in this area would include Hazlehurst, Baxley, Jesup, Blackshear, Waycross, and Douglas. All these locations can be challenging.
As a door-to-door auto transporter, we can deliver a car to or from any location in Georgia. No location is too challenging for us! To find out what it will cost to ship a car to or from Georgia, and how long it will take to get completed, get an instant quote online or call us at (800) 656-7638.
